The Anker Zolo A1688 puts a USB-C cable on the power bank. The NITECORE NB10000 Gen4 prioritises low published weight. Both are 10,000 mAh products; that headline does not promise the same number of phone charges.
Quick comparison
Specifications checked October 25, 2026. Selection is based on published documentation, not hands-on testing. “Best” means the better fit for a stated use, not a universal winner.
| Exact model | Manufacturer capacity | Published output | Practical distinction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anker Zolo A1688 | 10,000 mAh | Up to 30 W USB-C | Built-in USB-C cable |
| NITECORE NB10000 Gen4 | 10,000 mAh / 39 Wh | Up to 22.5 W | 143 g reference weight; lanyard cable |
Anker Zolo 10K 30W with built-in USB-C cable, A1688
This is the A1688 10K version, with a built-in USB-C cable plus USB-C and USB-A connections. The official product page lists up to 30 W output and describes recharging with a suitable 20 W charger. An attached cable is convenient if your main phone uses USB-C and you frequently forget loose cables.
Useful for: Everyday travel with a USB-C phone.
Limits: Do not confuse this model with 20K Zolo versions or assume every port supplies maximum output at once. Older Lightning devices need a suitable separate cable. Anker’s estimates also account for conversion losses, so 10,000 mAh is not fully delivered to a phone.

NITECORE NB10000 Gen4
NITECORE lists 10,000 mAh, 39 Wh, up to 22.5 W input/output, a 143 g reference weight and an included lanyard charging cable for Gen4. Its listed IPX7 rating is a distinction from an ordinary unsealed accessory, but it does not remove the need to follow charging and drying instructions.
Useful for: A walking kit where accessory weight matters.
Limits: Use the Gen4 documentation: Gen3 is a different, discontinued model. We have not measured usable capacity, runtime or resistance to water. Check whether the quoted weight excludes accessories in the current specification.

How to choose for your trip
List your phone, connector and actual charging needs. Check the charging protocol and the required cable rather than choosing only by peak watts. A faster advertised maximum will not make an incompatible device charge at that speed.

Method, cost and limits
We compared the exact variants named above using manufacturer information available on the check date. We selected them to show meaningful differences for ordinary Pennsylvania trips. We have not tested them physically, accepted a supplied test sample or assigned laboratory scores. Links labelled “affiliate link” are commercial links to Amazon.fr. Manufacturer documentation remains the basis of the specifications; commission is not a test result or a guarantee of suitability.
Include an appropriate wall charger and any extra cable not supplied. Check the exact model and serial number against current manufacturer recall notices before use; a family name is insufficient. Keep batteries out of a hot parked car and follow the manufacturer’s handling instructions. This comparison does not certify a device as free of every recall.
Prices, colours, stock, package contents and delivery terms can change. Confirm these directly before purchasing. These are selected alternatives, not an exhaustive survey of every product on sale.

Mini FAQ
Will 10,000 mAh recharge my phone three times?
There is no universal number. Battery size, conversion losses, temperature and phone use affect the result.
Is a power bank an alternative to route planning?
No. Download maps, manage phone use and plan the route separately from carrying backup power.
